Kacey's Korner
KACEY’S KORNER
The Mitchell
family in celebration of their daughter’s life is committed to the improvement
of pediatric oncology care. Her parents recall Kacey’s extended hospital stays
and clinic visits. During those times, books were an important source of
distracting entertainment and even hidden education.
The Kacey Rose
Foundation would like to supply “Kacey’s Korner” with
books suitable for a range of ages from infancy through adolescence. “Kacey’s
Korner” will offer children much more than a wide
variety of tales; it will provide a source of distraction during physically and
emotionally stressful experiences.
We are pleased to
announce that the grand opening of “Kacey’s Korner”
was March 1, 2010. “Kacey’s Korner” is located in the pediatric clinic located in the
new Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven.
The Kacey Rose
Foundation is also in the process of establishing “Kacey’s Kart”, a mobile
library of children’s books which will be located on the inpatient unit at
Yale-New
Haven Hospital.
Please join the
Kacey Rose Foundation in working to improve the lives of children battling
cancer in our community. If you would like to donate a new book to “Kacey's
Korner”, please contact Kristina at

A special thank
you to the Amity club for awarding the Kacey Rose Foundation with their "Worthy
Project' grant. This grant provided us with the initial funding to deploy the
“Kacey's Korner” project. We are honored and grateful
for the Amity Clubs support and generosity and applaud them for supporting
worthy projects in our local community.
